EDITORIAL:

As Before

Amid the cacophony of noise permeating social media, the misinformation, disinformation and mal-information, we chose to step back a bit, take a deep breath and decide to bring anew this publication.

As before, Newsline is committed to that time honored role of a newspaper as a purveyor of truth more so now that technology brought about an ecosystem that bred and continue to breed irresponsible digital citizens – specially them, the nameless many who knowingly posts falsehoods in total disregard of the law, of what is just and morally right.

As before, we will endeavor to give voice to those who are hardly heard and to issues seldom talked about or swept under the rug.

In a world so engulfed by multi media and mixed platforms, print is not dead. Community newspapers remain the solid and tangible proof of a community’s story.
